Exporting from CS Imaging.
Also known as Carestream / Kodak
CS Imaging (Carestream, formerly Kodak) powers CS 8100/8200/9600 units. DICOM export is available from the patient browser for both 2D and 3D.
[ DICOM (.dcm) · JPEG/TIFF for 2D ]
2D images (OPG / Ceph)
[ 01 ]
Open patient images
Open CS Imaging for the patient and select the OPG or ceph thumbnail.
[ 02 ]
Export
Right-click → Export, or File → Export. Pick DICOM if offered, otherwise TIFF/JPEG at original resolution.
CBCT volumes (3D)
[ 01 ]
Select the CBCT volume
Select the 3D study thumbnail in the patient browser (do not just screenshot the 3D viewing software).
[ 02 ]
Export as DICOM
Right-click → Export → DICOM, or use the 'Export volume' option inside CS 3D Imaging: File → Export → DICOM volume (uncompressed/lossless).
[ 03 ]
Zip the output folder
The export creates a folder of .dcm slices — compress it to one .zip and upload.
[ TIPS ]
- CS units sometimes offer a 'DICOM media (with viewer)' export — the viewer is unnecessary; slices alone are fine.
Menu names vary between software versions. If your screen looks different, call us — we’ll walk you through it.
