Exporting from Sidexis 4.

Sidexis 4 runs Orthophos and Axeos units. Exports use the built-in DICOM wizard and work for both panoramic images and 3D volumes.

[ DICOM (.dcm) via Export wizard · JPEG for quick 2D ]

2D images (OPG / Ceph)

  1. [ 01 ]

    Select the exam

Open the patient's light-table, click the OPG/ceph exam once to select it.

  2. [ 02 ]

    Export

Use Export → 'Export as DICOM' (preferred) or 'Export as image file' (JPEG, highest quality).

  3. [ 03 ]

    Save somewhere findable

Export to Desktop/Downloads with the patient surname in the filename.

CBCT volumes (3D)

  1. [ 01 ]

    Select the 3D exam

In the timeline/light-table, select the CBCT (3D) exam — do not open a single slice view for export.

  2. [ 02 ]

    Run the DICOM export wizard

Export → 'Export as DICOM'. Choose 'DICOM DVD / directory' style export, full volume, lossless. Sidexis writes a DICOMDIR plus slice files.

  3. [ 03 ]

    Zip and upload

Compress the entire export folder to a single .zip and upload it.

[ TIPS ]

  • Include the DICOMDIR file if Sidexis creates one — it helps our systems assemble the volume.
  • Third-party viewer executables (e.g. Sidexis iX viewer) can be excluded to keep the zip smaller.
